Tips for success
For extra crunch, you can double-coat the chicken by dipping it in the egg and breadcrumbs twice. This creates a thicker, extra-crispy crust.
If you have time, let the breaded chicken rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before cooking; this helps the coating adhere better. When toasting the wraps, use a cast-iron skillet for the best heat retention and even browning.
To keep the wraps from getting soggy, make sure the chicken is hot and the lettuce is well-drained. If using a store-bought Caesar salad kit, toss the dressing right before assembling to avoid excess moisture.
You can also toast the wraps ahead of time and keep them warm in a low oven, but they are best served immediately after toasting.
Variations
- Spicy Chicken Caesar Wrap: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a drizzle of hot sauce to the egg wash for a spicy kick. You can also use pepper jack cheese in the salad for extra heat.
- Avocado Caesar Wrap: Add sliced avocado to the wrap along with the Caesar salad for extra creaminess. The avocado pairs well with the crispy chicken and tangy dressing.
- Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap: Skip the breading and grill or pan-sear the seasoned chicken strips until cooked through. This results in a lighter wrap with a smoky flavor.
- Bacon Caesar Wrap: Add crispy bacon bits to the Caesar salad before wrapping. The smoky, salty bacon complements the chicken and dressing beautifully.
Storage and make-ahead

Serving ideas
Serve the wraps whole or sliced in half diagonally. Offer extra Caesar dressing on the side for dipping.
These wraps pair well with a simple side of roasted potatoes or a light soup. For a casual lunch, serve them with a handful of potato chips.
For a heartier meal, add a side of crispy fries or a green salad. The wraps are also great for picnics or packed lunches—just keep the dressing separate and add it right before eating to prevent sogginess.
The contrast of warm, crunchy chicken and cool, crisp lettuce is the highlight.

Golden Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap

Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 4 cups Caesar salad (romaine, parmesan, dressing)
- 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing, for dipping
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breast into strips. In a bowl, combine garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning over the chicken strips and toss to coat evenly. In a shallow dish, beat the eggs. Place the panko breadcrumbs in another shallow dish. Dip each seasoned chicken strip into the beaten eggs, letting any excess drip off, then press into the panko until fully coated. Set the breaded strips on a plate.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a thin layer of oil. Add the breaded chicken strips in a single layer, working in batches if needed. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C). Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and set aside.
- Lay a flour tortilla on a clean work surface. Place about 1 cup of Caesar salad in the center of the tortilla, leaving a border around the edges. Top with a few slices of the hot cooked chicken tenders. Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to the top, tucking the filling as you go. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Heat a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the assembled wraps seam-side down in the skillet. Toast for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crackling. Press gently with a spatula to ensure even browning. Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute before slicing.
- Slice each toasted wrap in half diagonally. Serve immediately with extra Caesar dressing on the side for dipping.
