Tips for success
For the best flavor, let the dip rest for 10 minutes after cooking before serving. This allows the cheese to set slightly, making it easier to scoop without dripping.
The dip will thicken as it cools, so if it becomes too stiff, stir in a splash of chicken broth or milk to loosen it.
To make the dip ahead, assemble all the ingredients in the Crockpot insert and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, place the insert in the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring once halfway through. This is a great make-ahead appetizer for parties.
Variations
- Milder version: Use a mild mango habanero sauce or reduce the amount to 1/2 cup and add 1/4 cup of honey. Replace Pepper Jack with Monterey Jack for a creamy dip with less heat.
- Spicier kick: Add 1-2 finely minced habanero peppers (seeds removed) or a teaspoon of hot sauce. Stir in extra diced jalapeños before serving for an extra layer of heat.
- Smoky twist: Add 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika or use smoked Gouda instead of Pepper Jack. This adds a deep, smoky flavor that pairs well with the sweet mango.
- Pineapple mango: Replace half the fresh mango with diced pineapple. The pineapple adds a tangy sweetness that complements the habanero and makes the dip even more tropical.

Serving ideas
Serve this dip directly from the Crockpot to keep it warm and melty. Set out a basket of lime tortilla chips for scooping.
You can also offer celery sticks, carrot chips, or toasted baguette slices for a different crunch. For a fuller spread, pair with other game-day favorites like wings or sliders.
For a festive presentation, garnish with extra diced mango, chopped cilantro, or a drizzle of ranch dressing. The dip is rich, so small portions go a long way.
It's perfect for feeding a crowd, and the slow cooker makes refills easy. Just keep it on WARM and stir occasionally.

Crockpot Mango Habanero Cream Cheese Chicken Wing Dip

Ingredients
- 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded Pepper Jack cheese
- 3/4 cup mango habanero wing glaze
- 1 cup diced fresh mango
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- Lime tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
- Place the shredded cooked chicken in the bottom of the Crockpot. Add the cream cheese in pieces, then sprinkle the shredded Pepper Jack over the top. Pour the mango habanero wing glaze evenly over the cheese. Add the diced fresh mango and drizzle with the ranch dressing. Do not stir yet — layering helps the cream cheese soften evenly.
- Cover the Crockpot with its lid and set the heat to LOW. Let the dip cook for 2 hours. After the first hour, stir gently to combine the melted cream cheese and the other ingredients. Continue cooking until the mixture is hot and bubbly.
- After 2 hours, stir the dip thoroughly until the cream cheese is fully incorporated and the sauce is smooth and velvety. The chicken should be coated, and the mango pieces should be soft but intact. If the dip seems too thick, stir in a splash of milk or chicken broth.
- Insert an instant-read thermometer into the center of the dip. The chicken is fully cooked and safe to eat when the mixture reaches at least 165°F (74°C). If it hasn't reached that temperature, continue cooking on LOW for another 15 minutes and check again.
- Keep the Crockpot on the WARM setting or LOW while serving. Scoop the dip into bowls or serve directly from the Crockpot. Provide lime tortilla chips for dipping.
