Tips for success
For extra crispy wraps, let the assembled wraps rest for a few minutes before toasting. This helps the tortilla hold its shape.
Use a heavy skillet and press down gently with a spatula while cooking to ensure even browning. If you have a cast-iron skillet, it works beautifully for this recipe.
To keep the sauce from splitting, always whisk it over low heat and avoid boiling. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of cream or milk to loosen it.
For a more intense garlic flavor, let the minced garlic sit for 5 minutes before cooking. This allows the allicin to develop, giving a deeper taste.
Variations
- Spicy Buffalo: Add 2 tablespoons of buffalo sauce to the cream sauce and toss the cooked chicken with a little extra hot sauce. Top with blue cheese crumbles instead of mozzarella for a tangy twist.
- Bacon Ranch: Crumble 4 slices of cooked bacon and mix into the chicken Alfredo. Replace the smoked paprika with ranch seasoning and add a tablespoon of chopped fresh dill to the sauce.
- Vegetarian: Skip the chicken and use sautéed mushrooms and spinach. Sauté 8 oz of sliced mushrooms with garlic until browned, then fold into the Alfredo sauce with a handful of baby spinach.
- Low-Carb: Use large lettuce leaves or low-carb tortillas instead of flour tortillas. Reduce the sauce slightly to keep the wraps from becoming soggy. Toast the wraps in a dry skillet for a few minutes to crisp the exterior.

Serving ideas
Serve these wraps hot, straight from the skillet, with a generous bowl of extra garlic parmesan cream on the side for dipping.
You can also add a sprinkle of fresh parsley or red pepper flakes for a pop of color and heat, though these are optional. The wraps are hearty enough to be a complete meal on their own.
For a more substantial dinner, pair the wraps with a simple green salad dressed with lemon vinaigrette or a bowl of tomato soup. They also make great game-day snacks—cut into smaller pieces and serve as appetizers. The crispy exterior and creamy filling are sure to please a crowd.

Crispy Chicken Alfredo Wrap with Garlic Parmesan Cream

Ingredients
- 2 lb chicken breast, sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, for toasting
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the sliced chicken breast with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and sear until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and let it melt. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy whipping cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated parmesan cheese and whisk until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2–3 minutes.
- Return the seared chicken to the skillet with the garlic parmesan cream. Stir to coat every piece evenly. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly while you prepare the tortillas.
- Lay a flour tortilla on a clean work surface. Spoon about 1/2 cup of the chicken Alfredo mixture onto the center. Top with a generous handful of shredded mozzarella. Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to enclose the filling completely. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
- Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Place two wraps seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the remaining butter and wraps.
- Slice each crispy wrap in half on a cutting board. Serve immediately with the remaining garlic parmesan cream (warm it if needed) for dipping.
