Before starting, thaw the snow crab clusters if they are frozen, and peel and devein the shrimp. Halve the corn cobs and scrub the potatoes.
Make the parsley-garlic scampi butter if not using store-bought. Place all the ingredients near the slow cooker so the layering goes quickly. Have the white wine measured and the Cajun seasoning ready.

The crab legs should be heated through.Look for The butter is melted and bubbling, and the seafood is steaming.Safe temperature 145°F (63°C) internal temperature (shellfish)Tip Check the shrimp at 3 hours to avoid overcooking; they cook faster than the crab.
- Check the TemperatureUse an instant-read thermometer to confirm the shrimp and crab meat reach 145°F (63°C). The potatoes should be fork-tender.Look for The thermometer reads at least 145°F (63°C) in the thickest part of the shrimp.Safe temperature 145°F (63°C) internal temperature (shellfish)Tip Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of a shrimp, not through the shell.

Common mistakes
Avoid overcooking the shrimp, as they can become tough and rubbery. Start checking at the 3-hour mark. Also, do not overcrowd the slow cooker; if necessary, reduce the recipe by half.
Make sure the butter and wine are distributed evenly; if the pot seems dry, add a splash of seafood stock. Avoid lifting the lid too often, as this releases heat and extends cooking time.
